Yesterday was not a great first day back for me. The pressure to be ready for the 10k is definitely present and my performance yesterday left me feeling very scared about how well I would perform.
The alarm clock went off this morning, I laced up my running shoes and hit the road again. It was better than yesterday, but I still have a long way to go. 5k in just under 37 minutes is a terrible time in my books, but as I take into account a sprained ankle (which is still painful) and limited activity over the past three weeks I am hopeful to build back up to an acceptable time, endurance and eventually distance again soon.
